For 8 years now I who has been DJing and running El Diablo's Social Club which plays disco and house. I also work at Manchester's finest vinyl emporium Piccadilly Records. The El Diablo’s Social Club party is a regular now at Glastonbury and The Garden Festival in Croatia. Over the last year I have begun to get my own material out in various remixes, edits and productions with a new label in the pipeline.

The DJ’s and acts that pass through Manchester are far and wised and anything from Ritchie Hawtin to MF Doom to Laurent Garnier to Prins Thomas.
Strictly Scene
As a teenager I was a massive fan of MAW and Strictly rhythm was my favorite label. Everything that came out seemed to be amazing to me so I still have a lot of those original 12”s which are still close to my heart. It’s good to see the back catalogue being unleashed on a new generation of house lovers which I’m sure will get them as excited as I was.
My Scene
Clubs: There’s quite a lot to choose from in Manchester. You have your bigger clubs like The Warehouse Project & Sankeys which tend to bring the biggest names to town like Ritchie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier etc.
There’s also quite a lot of medium to small size clubs which offers more intimate, underground parties and gigs. Places like the Deaf Institute, Band on the Wall and Islington Mill.
There are also quite a few small venues which are multi use spaces which are not like you run of the mill venue and are used as art galleries etc but are then turned into one off events. The best ones around at the moment are Kraak and the Basement.
DJ's: Mr Scruff, Crazy P, Unabombers, Lone, James Holroyd (Begin), Moonboots, Balearic Mike there’s too many to mention really.
The party I co-promote – El Diablo’s Social Club pops up in different venues to make it all a bit more special. Our next guest is James Preistley from Secretsundaze fame.
