International DJ Scene
Whilst not as many international djs have been here in the winter months compared to the summer we have been treated to the fantastic sounds of DJs such as Uner, Michel Cleis and David Herrero who were playing for Ibiza Dance, whilst also having Simon Dunmore, Shovell playing for Defected, with both parties being held at Pacha. Next month we have Cadenza with Reboot and another Ibiza Dance party all confirmed for Easter in Pacha.
My Scene
Clubs: There are quite a few venues open at the moment and more than you would think and some you wouldn´t even have thought had a monster party there. Sushi Point is located in the Marina Botafoc in Talamanca, it’s open all week and as the name would suggest is a Sushi Restaurant but at the weekends after the foods been cleared away, the party starts. Fridays, the music is provided by the resident DJ and then on Saturday Island resident Iban Mendoza blends his organic house and tech house grooves to a maxed out capacity crowd.
Also on Thursdays there is C´an Dance at Keepers, which is across the road from the old El Divino, which is hosted by long time Island resident’s ava, Jose The End and Oliver. This is its second winter and has been a real success.
DJ’s: Local DJs 2Vila are Hector Avila and Carlos Vila, who have been playing together for the last 3 years and have played all over Spain, Turkey, Europe and even the Maldives. Their sound is a combination of deep & tech house with lots of energy. They have been hosting their own show on Ibiza Global Radio (www.ibizaglobalradio.com) on Fridays at 2pm for the last year. They have collaborated with other artists such as Mendo, Tuccillo, Willie Graff and Jose De Divina and their talent and infectious buzz has seen them nominated in the Spanish Deejay Magazine awards in 2010 as Best Ibiza Newcomer DJ.

Matt Caseli & Danny Freakazoid - African Tales
Matt Caseli teams up again with top Swiss producer Danny Freakzoid, to produce their first release on Strictly Rhythm. This high class 2 track EP titled African Tales is perfect for the dancefloor and getting the crowd going. The title track from the EP, African Tales, is a percussive house track with african voices, and a catchy flute and string hook running through it, which is perfect for the dancefloors of Ibiza. No Matter What, has a slightly tougher peak time feel to it. Again with tightly programmed tribal grooves combined with the vocal hook and this is a solid main room work out..........
In April you can catch me playing at Pacha on the 23rd and 29th on the opening of Km5 on the 22nd and also in The Living Room in Strasbourg on the 15th and on the 16th in Club Supermarket in Zurich.
