Armand’s EP was quickly overshadowed by the monstrous single it spawned, ‘Witch Doktor’, but the rest of the release stands up as a useful picture of where one of the most maverick of house producers was at the time. ‘I Feel It’ is a high octane nod at German techno, ‘Nrongo Ra Mrongo’ a rattling piece of Afro-house, ‘Donkey’ a Relief-inspired Chicago stomper and ‘Break da ‘80s’ a thumping groove overlaid with, you guessed it, some choice ‘80s sounds.
