Expect the unexpected:  Strictly Bass and Breaks is a different direction for the home of house, but we found we’d collected so many bass grooves recently it seemed rude not to join them together as one voice.  And even then, it’s more about contrast than conformity. Flinch’s sharp-edged remix of Fytch, Captain Crunch and Carmen Forbes’ dub step ballad Raindrops comes recommended by Benga, while cohort Skream backs Specimen A’s version of Fleur & Cutline’s Broken Mirror, also supported by irrepressible 1Xtra DJ MistaJam.  Things take more of a drum and bass turn with KG’s mix of Danny Freakazoid & Strobe’s Follow Me (Open Your Eyes) and Hospital Records stars Fred V & Grafix’s take on Daddy’s Groove’s It’s Not Right But It’s Okay, big in Friction’s box.
