Q&A with Ghosts of Venice
We caught up with Lee Dunn AKA Ghosts of Venice to talk about his new release - Without You featuring Errol Reid.
Tell us about your new single Without You
Without You was one of the first tracks I made as Ghosts of Venice, which is why its special to me. It started out as an instrumental and over the course of a year it developed into this.
How did the collaboration with Errol Reid come about?
I've been a fan of Errol since I heard China Black as a child. I wasn't clued up on his more recent stuff until we were going through vocalist ideas. We have similar work ethics and most importantly his voice is incredible so it seemed an obvious choice.
How would you describe Ghosts of Venice sound?
It's a throwback to the music that shaped my childhood in the 90's. People like Cassius, Daft Punk & Armand Van Helden. Looped disco samples, filters, huge bass lines, 909 drums.
What do you have coming up in the pipeline?
I'm doing a huge US tour in the summer with a friend of mine, Adulture, Who I also produce with as 'Second City Rhythm'. We're launching our own imprint in the summer as well. I've got a few tracks in the works, one with Josh Jakq and another which is a collaboration with Ridney and The Phantom's Revenge.
