Dragonfly is a Colombian-American bilingual recording artist and songwriter. At age 15, she moved from her hometown Bogotá to South Florida where she began performing in the electro-pop music scene of Miami's South Beach. She later gained international exposure through the hit television show American Idol. It was following American Idol where she began to reinvent herself into the artist known as Dragonfly.
Dragonfly is currently working with Grammy nominated super-star DJ and producer Bob Sinclar on his latest hit single Rock the Boat. Rock the Boat features Pitbull, Dragonfly and Fatman Scoop. Rock the Boat is the featured single on Bob Sinclar’s new album Disco Crash and is currently charting all over Europe. Rock the boat has remixes from Martin Solveig, Bassjackers, Cutee B and Ilan Khan. Besides working with the legendary Bob Sinclar, Dragonfly has upcoming tracks with some of house music’s top DJ’s and producers such as Sidney Samson, Gregori Klosman, Matteo Dimarr and many more. She is also working with the multi Grammy award-winning producer Tony CD Kelly. Many more surprises are coming this summer that will take her music to new heights on the world stage.
Outside of her music career, she is a talented actress, dancer and entertainer. Dragonfly has been featured on major television shows such as American Idol on Fox, Burn Notice on USA Network, The Glades on A&E and Bang for Your Buck on HGTV. In addition, she has recently wrapped filming in the upcoming major motion picture and musical adaptation Rock of Ages staring Tom Cruise. She has also stared in theater shows such as the Broadway musical West Side Story and Toni and Tina’s Wedding, which was the longest running live theater show in South Beach (Miami) history held at the iconic club Mansion. She has been featured in nationwide TV commercials, major music video’s and so much more. There is very little that Dragonfly has not done in her career and her love for entertainment and the arts keeps her reaching for the stars.
