DJ Lisa Mack
Baltimore vocalist, Lisa Mack, began singing at the age of four and since then has been on a blessed path, utilizing her God-given talent. This dynamic, bold and brassy singer’s first break-through came about when she appeared three times on CBS's Star Search where she made it as a finalist in the ever-popular competition – viewed by over 14 million people.
Always in the mix, Lisa became the featured vocalist for Artscape in 2006 and since then has had the opportunity to perform on Maryland Public Television, as well as a wide variety of appearances on different shows in and around the Maryland & District of Columbia area.
Lisa has opened for the Classic Soul Songstress, Stephanie Mills, and has done background vocals for R&B Diva, Vesta Williams and House Music Divas, Ultra Naté and Barbara Tucker. In addition to her session work, she has also recorded with the House Music production team of DJ Spen and DJ Thommy Davis to create the 2007 dance-floor hit, “Shine” which opened up an entire new genre. January of 2008 brought on the follow-up single Where Do We Go, remixed by DJ Spen and Thommy Davis, which also enjoyed similar success.
When 2009 came about, so did a new single where she loaned her vocals to classical violinist Chieko Kinbara’s track “Changed My Life” (DJ Spen's Code Red Remixes) Shortly after, Lisa made her debut on the Deep Sugar imprint with the single entitled “Kiss Me” causing a noticeable dent on the dance charts and giving Lisa the well-deserved attention as a dance floor Diva. This single offered remixes by Mark Picchiotti and the legendary Terry Hunter.
Showing no signs of slowing down, Lisa's gift of song as well as her acting ability landed her major roles in musicals like Hairspray, Ain't Misbehavin' and Menopause The Musical, both nationally and internationally. In the near future, Lisa will rejoin her Menopause The Musical family for a 2010 Summer Canadian tour.
Now, Lisa is currently recording new material for Deep Sugar. She is excited to reach new heights with her vocal prowess namely with her new song “Wonder” which is slated for a summer 2010 release.
